Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Short version: this site has no ads and no trackers, and we don't sell anything about you.
1. Who we are
LibPaste (“we”, “us”) runs libpaste.win, the website for our VR modding Discord server. Questions about your data? Email [email protected].
2. What data is processed
- Server logs. When you visit, our hosting provider, Cloudflare (privacy policy (opens in a new tab)), automatically processes technical data needed to deliver the site and keep it secure: your IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, your browser and device type, and the referring page. These logs are kept only for a short time. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and delete them when they're no longer needed. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
There are no accounts, sign-up forms, comments, ads or analytics on this site.
3. Cookies and local storage
This site doesn't set tracking cookies. It saves a few small settings in your browser's storage so it remembers choices you made here. They never leave your device and aren't used to track you:
lp-consent: your answer to the cookie banner.lp-sound: whether you turned sound effects on.lp-motion: if you pressed “Pause animations” in the footer.lp-theme,lp-achievementsandlp-commands: the color theme, achievements and commands from the site's hidden terminal, if you find it.lp-introandlp-term-history: whether you've seen the welcome screen, and your recent terminal commands. These are in session storage, so your browser deletes them when you close the tab.
Optional cookies: none are in use right now. If we ever add optional tools, such as privacy-friendly analytics, they will only run after you click “Allow optional”, and we'll list them here first.
You can change your cookie choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Typing reset --yes in the terminal clears the terminal settings, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything.
4. Discord and other links
The “Join the Discord” buttons send you to dsc.gg (a link-redirect service) and then to Discord. Once you leave this site, those services handle your data under their own privacy policies, for example the Discord Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). Nothing from Discord is embedded on this site, so Discord doesn't receive any data from you just because you visit us.
To show how many people are online, our server (not your browser) asks Discord for the public member count of our invite, at most every few minutes. That request contains nothing about you.
5. Fonts, scripts and third parties
All fonts, images and scripts are hosted on this website. We don't load Google Fonts, social media widgets, trackers or anything else from other companies, so your browser only talks to our server while you're here. The sound effects are generated by your browser, so no audio files are downloaded and nothing is recorded.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- ask what data we have about you, and get a copy of it;
- have incorrect data corrected, or have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we process your data;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected].
7. Children
To join our server you must meet Discord's minimum age (at least 13, or older where your country's law requires it). We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
